Guest guest
Yep! I have this happen to me too! Not always, but certain foods, particulary dense protein or *gasp* bread on a sandwich, which I do NOT have often. Pretty interesting to know there are others that have this too! If anyone can remember why this occurs, please let me know. **huggs** Sheila in Chgo RNY 6/01 -145 lbs with More to Go..... =:-) > Hi Jo: > > My doctor explained to me why my nose gets stuffy as my stomach fills up and > can't quite remember the explanation for it. Guest guest
And this gets curious-er and curious-er.... " The Legend of the Stuffy Nose! " LOL What is *bread*.? Could not handle it early on so I don't try anymore. BUT>>>Stay out of my way if you have ice cream. It is my only downfall with sweets. Can't have it anywhere near me! My family owned a dairy in central NY. Dad made the ice cream and frozen custard. I can still " taste the smell. " .....know what I mean? BTW ....Re the Detour bar I tried yesterday. I forgot I had 1/2 left. I put it in the freezer. Hubby found it and likes the new Snickers. hahaha I have some older Medifast bars that taste nasty but I eat them very slowly and have never finished one. I am a salty, crispy person. Any ideas for a crunch besides carrots and apples and turkey pepperoni? Jo Stuffy Nose Syndrome! > Yep! > > I have this happen to me too! Guest guest
I have a weird situation when I drink water. It makes me sneeze! This is only since WLS! Really inconvenient when I have a mouth full of pills...and am trying to stifle the sneeze, to no avail. Ever try swallowing and sneezing at the same time? It gets pretty tricky! Wonder why our noses are connected to our gastric systems! Does show we are all hooked up in some way or another. Regards~ Jacque Distal RNY, 5/30/00 Drs.
