Perhaps for those who had upper, do you blow your nose more post

surgery? I am not talking about soon after surgery as that is not

even allowed, but i am 3.5 monts post op and i definitely blow my

nose more than i ever have, and seem to have back nasal/throat stuff

that i need to clear. Just curious.

YES, YES, YES AND YES ! :-)

I used to buy tissues when they were on sale.. now, I need to buy them

by the dozen... Seriously, they're always something in my sinus, or at the

back of my throat. And what comes out is (sorry for saying it) like water.

Gross topic i know, but how and why is that stuff getting there if

we never really got it before, if but infrequent? It's most

bothersome when i have to clear something in the middle of teaching

(i AM discrete), or while brushing teeth. I hear ya on the

tissues!

I've assumed this was because I got a sinus job as well as the

orthognatic surgery. My sinus were always full before surgery, and

it was difficult to breath. But now, I'm much better. Except for the

constant runny nose / stuff in there.

Oh my god yes, I almost forgot that...when I first went bk to work

like weeks 3-5 I just would " drip " clear fluid sometimes...I became

like my Grandmother when I was younger with a tissue ttucked up my

sleeve...I just didn't want to not be prepared and embarrassed.

That stopped sometime...when I am not so sure since I just remembered

it was a problem...(I am week 9 and change now). Mostly now in the

mornings I just feel a little congestion " way-back up there " and a

quick squirt of saline and a shower seems to 99.9% do the trick.

This tooo shall pass...but keep a tissue handy meanwhile!
