Guest guest
, You mention homeopathy, could you enlighten me on a site or some advice on this to help my healing process. Have you tried acupuncture? I had my surgery on Sept 10th (upper/lower/chin) at Stanford Medical Center, CA. I'm in a limbo state, pain sets in at night, mostly aching, I'm only able to open my mouth the width of one finger and I'm trying to exercise my jaws after applying a heat wrap but they don't seem to be budging. I'm getting scared that they'll never open. The head and ear aches come in the evening. At night I'm trying ice, taking IBP during the day and tylenol 3/cod before I go to bed. The numbness drives me crazy...when will the madness end and I'll feel normal again. I really wasn't prepared for the post-op. I looked at your pictures on the other site, your operation was a success and you look great. How did you adjust to the change in your face? I liked my face before, now I'm not so sure. I went for braces to straighten my teeth and give me a nice smile, time moved my teeth since I had braces when I was a child. I also had what I thought was a slight overbite but my lower was moved 15mm...that's quite a bit. My upper was moved too and I now show more teeth (or braces at this moment). I thought I hit a low a couple of weeks after surgery, I'm tired of people saying how different I look...I'm swollen!!! I can't be an ostrich because I have two little ones 3 and 4.5 so I have to keep moving but I would like to dig my head in the sand until I look normal again...whenever that will be...
