Guest guest
I was wondering if anyone else out there has had problems with their skin...facial stuff...since the surgery i seem to be having problems with breakouts around my cheeks. It is wierd b/c I am eating better than I have in my whole life and I am thinking that foods that would have once caused breakouts for me I no longer have. I am very religious with my skin care...have all the same stuff I used to use. Maybe it is not working any longer b/c my body has changed so much... has anyone had this problem and if so what helped? This is really bothering me...love taking pics now(cuz of the new and always improving body, but the face...eeeeeek!) Thanks Hannah

Guest guest
I don't know Hannah, my skin has had the opposite reaction -it's cleared up a lot. Could it be hormone changes in your body from such a major surgery? An adverse reaction to your new regimin of vitamins & supplements? I bet it'll get better. Should ask your Doc...sorry, I can't help but good luck. Guest guest
My PCP recommended Eucerin and I have been using it for 3-4 years and it works great for face moisturizer, exzema, dry skin, etc. I get the one in the white and light blue bottle with the pump. Wal-mart, Walgreens, etc have it and it is around 6-7 dollars. Right after my surgery, I had a few problems on my face and I am 55 yo. I am 2 months out now and all is clear. Works right in prone areas. Works wonderfully for me. I also use lots of vaseline on my face for the dryness, it won't break your face out or glog pores. (Secret my Mom has always used). Guest guest
Hi Jen! I'm 5 days post op today and I have the same problem with my skin. It's all oily, and it's beginning to peel out and around my lips.. It looks like I've got crusty food all around my mouth, but it's just dead skin. It's quite attractive!! From what I understand from reading the boards, this is perfectly normal and will go away in time. Hope this helps! ~Jen > Hi every one. I am doing much better. Guest guest
Normal...all very normal. I broke out around my mouth and edges of my face and neck. I was an oil slick. The corners of my mouth looked gross. Auquafor is great for any dry peeling spots. For the oil, unflavored milk of magnesia spread on with a cotton ball and left on will soak it up. Bezoil peroxide for zits (if you have/get them). It will pass. > Hi every one. I am doing much better. Some swelling going down. > Monday will make the begining of my 3rd week.
