Huge cost necessary or unnecessary??

I have a question about a entry on my pre-bill from my OS that says

Enameloplasty. I have talk to my OS' assistant and didn't really

get a detailed answer. I've looked it up on the internet and found

out it was the shaping of the teeth and I was wondering if anyone

here has had this done with their surgery. The entry on the bill is

for $800.00! That seems like a lot, especially since my OS' office

said insurance usually doen't pay for it.

I was wondering if it is necessary or make a big difference having

it or not?
