Guest guest
OK now I am not arguing but I thought the reason we needed all of that protein was so that we fed our muscles. That if we didn't take in the requisite number of grams we would start to burn muscle weight instead of fat weight. I have never been told anything about it increases our weight loss. Candi RE: Dee Dee Dear Dee, I had to jump in here the minute I read that you don't eat that much protein " because it slows the weight loss " -- This is absolutely false. The way we have to eat, following this surgery, is PROTEIN FIRST AND FOREMOST before anything else. If you don't eat enough protein, you will stagger and stall your weight loss. According to the majority (but not all) surgeons out there, we need to eat minimally 60 grams of protein, if not more, per day in order to enhance the weight loss. Only after getting in the requisite protein at each meal (whether through food or shakes), should we move on to salad/veggies and fruit (if there's still room). Good luck to you. live each day like it's your last... love like you've never been hurt...
