Guest guest
Hey This may sound like a rather stupid question, but when would I start eating normally? Like Chewing and swolling? I am in my third week post surgery. As of now, I can't chew and I am blenderizing everything.....I am dreaming of the day when I can actually chew and swollow a pizza! Plus my face is still swollen? Is it different for different people? Thanks! -Meera

Guest guest
I would think it is different for diff people. i am a pizza ADDICT, but did not have overboard cravings post surgery as i knew how impossible it would be to even attempt; i think i was at about week 6 or so when family came into town, they ordered pizza and in the blender it went. i had to blend for a LONG time, or so it seemed. i am 4 months post op and am just getting comfortable chewing harder things. i cannot yet imagine biting into a raw carrot, or eating an apple full, though that is practically impossible anyway with braces, but i did have pork the other night that was tough to eat. On the other hand i JUST finished eating chocolate mocha chip ice cream and the big choc chips did not bother me AT ALL. It takes time, but you will slowing improve, just keep trying things. > > Hey > This may sound like a rather stupid question, but when would I start > eating normally? Like Chewing and swolling?
