You guys are not alone because I don't see any difference in the 41 lbs that

i have lost, this has happened to me before though. I lost 35 lbs a number of

years ago and my dr told me it's because i was so big. Not until i lose a

large amount of weight then i will see it...it's different if someone weighing

160 loses 40 lbs u will definitely see it as opposed to someone weighing 360.

Hang in there though guys. trust in urselves and believe that scale! it's going

down, ur slimming out. trust me. God Bless

Hi,

I'm new to the site. I'm 8wks. post-op. People around me keep

telling me what a difference they can see in me. I notice the

difference in my clothing and on the scale (50# so far) but I don't

see it in myself. Is this weird or what?

remember that you see yourself every day. Since the change is gradual and

you are looking at yourself everyday you are not going to see it as much as

others who see you less regularly are going to notice it.

I however did not see a big change until I was at about 80 pounds off.

Until then I felt I looked pretty much the same. Other said I looked alot

different. I noticed today that I can really see it in my neck and oh my

gosh I have collar bones again!!!!!

But honestly at 50 lbs I didn't really see any change except in the way my

clothes fit me of course. So have no fear you will start to really see it

eventually.

I also talked to my counselor about this and she did say that on a big

person 50 lbs is not as visually obvious as 10 lbs is on a very thin person.

Give it time. You will start to see it.

You know what, I don't think it's weird at all. I too have difficulty seeing

the change in myself that others do. They go on and on at the dramatic

change and how they can't recognize me, but me I just see the same ole self.

It's

from years of having a poor self-image of myself and I need to deal with that

and start enjoying the positive changes in my life. Don't get me wrong, I

think it's super cool the way I can accomplish the " little tasks " in life with

ease, but I still need to work on some things in my head that I continue to

struggle with.
