Guest guest
, I also had surgery 11/18/03 and have lost just 43 lbs. I plateau all the time. My doctor explained some things that seem to apply to you also. He said that for WLS, I was on the smaller side at 249 pre op (really?). That sounds like you, too. That will make me loose slower that those who are larger. Also, adding weight training is fantastic - don't stop. He said to remember that muscle weighs more than fat. We are probably gaining muscle and loosing inches. Best wishes,

Guest guest
I have come across so many plateaus since my surgery 9/29/03, i have lost 85 pounds, but like someone else said I had more to lose, now that I am at the 203 mark and dying to get under 200, i am so frustrated...check the scale all the time...muscle weighs more than fat and you certainly dont want to stop exercizing cuz then you will end up with lots of loose skin, you want to be toned and thin...keep on exercizing, it is sooo good for you and be so thankful that you can exercise now...you are doing great! dont give up now!! Guest guest
thanks...I bet you can go to lane bryant and buy a size 18/20 jeans...I am also 6 foot and being taller makes a big differance. My mom is 30 pounds lighter than me, but she is 5 4 and she wears a 18/20. I guess it just depends on the clothes too. Some jeans in a 18 are very tight and some 20's are to lose. Just depends. I guess its that way for everyone, but the jeans at Lane are really great. I work out 3 times a week and am really trying hard to get my skin toned. I have come along way and im still young enough to enjoy the road to being fit..LOL.... in ks 11/18/03 346/275/
