Guest guest
Well here I am already a week post op. I can't believe it's all over with already. I had Leforte, SARPE, plus a deviated septum that was fixed up a bit. I am not wired shut, just banded. I thought I was in for a heck of a lot worse than I am but am gratefully suprrised at the ease of things. Although I have to admit the blended diet is getting somewhat annoying, not to mention all the pills I gotta take. My swelling isn't too bad, just looks like I've walked from the set of Planet of The Apes, lol. I had some minor bruising that happened on my breast bone, other than that can't say there's any. The numbness does take getting used to. I do have minor feeling back in the lips and tongue from time to time. I feel the little tingly sensations on my lips and can sometimes feel my braces rubbing on my lips. One thing I do need to say in advance tho to anyone getting the surgery ..... keep some nappies or kleenex next to you at all times. The drooling is insane! But luckily for me I have great support around me so we all get quite a joke out of it all. Hopefully I can get some pix up soon. Good Luck To Everyone Else Getting Geared For The Big Day! If you need any questions anawered, we're all here. Mel
