Guest guest
Joyce-I am sure you heard the wls wrong. What is happening is that 8 people have died from complications of having both lipo and a tummy tuck done at the same time in an office procedure. So, for the next 90 days there is a moratorium on having tummy tucks and lipo together till they can figure it out. This has nothing to do with wls,and to the best of my knowledge none of the deaths were from wls patients, just regular people who had cosmetics. Guest guest
joyce, here's some clarification: http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/living/health/7915815.htm lori h. 21 grateful & intrepid months post-op > I heard on the radio that they won't be doing the WLS in Florida cause of 8 deaths they said was do to this surgery. I just don't understand. The radio said these ppl went in for plastic surgery tummy tucks and so on. But they had the WLS surgery that is why they died. It should be they died from the tummy tucks and so on not this surgery. (Which our doctor thinks you should weight at lease 2 years after the WLS surgery to have plastic surgery). But they fall back on this surgery cause it is a major surgery. I think tummy tucks and other cutting on the body to remove the skin is major too. I sure am glad I had my WLS surgery. > Joyce
