Guest guest
Thanks to everyone for all the congratulations. This has been a life long dream of mine. But because of knee problems and size issues, I would NEVER have TRIED anything like this. I used to go to every local show I could find. Just to watch and talk to the handlers and see the dogs. And even though there are PLENTY of MO handlers/breeders/owners of dogs out there actively showing. I guess I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Funny thing is...I was NOT a shy MO woman. I dressed to the NINES....kept my hair colored and quaffed to perfection...and always had my make-up done. But for some reason...there was something keeping me OUT of the ring. I didn't even START looking for a show dog UNTIL I was two years out from my surgery! So, maybe the clothes, hair and make-up were just hiding something I wasn't aware of. Lack of self assurance perhaps? HUMMM Bad self image more then likely. My, how times change perspectives.
