Base shake and Syrups

Since I find most of the flavored protein a little too sweet, I couldn't stand

the syrups in flavored proteins. So I make a " base shake " with 1/2 scoop of

vanilla (adds creaminess, vanilla), and one scoop of SciFit Plain. TO this I

add syrups . . . drank a lot of eggnog (eggnog syrup, brandy extract, nutmeg)

this holiday season. I love Toasted Hazelnut, ed English Toffee, Spiced

Chai . . .

It works well for me . . .

Something occurred to me today while I was making myself yet another

yummy

protein drink with " flavorless " protein. I'm not that thrilled with the

flavor or aftertaste

of it, but it's 17g of protein in one scoop, so I like it. What I do,

though, is put a

packet of Splenda in it and a couple of drops of vanilla extract, and

voila, I have a

protein drink that actually tastes better than this vanilla protein

drink I have been

using. So I started thinking: why not combine unflavored protein with

sugar-free

Torani or DaVinci syrups?

Wouldn't that be good if it worked? Instead of having to deal with the

usual

chocolate/vanilla/fruit flavors, imagine having a hazelnut drink. Or

macadamia. Or

coconut. Or cola. Or butter rum! They have a bezillion

flavors--shouldn't some of

them work with unflavored protein? Let me know your opinion! I'm going

to try it!
