What to look for in an oral surgeon

I'm at a crossroads and am considering braces/oral surgery

treatment. My question is, what is the best qualification to look

for in an oral surgeon. I already have my orthodontist picked out,

but how do I decide on an oral surgeon? Also, what exactly

does " board certified " mean? Any suggestions will help. Thanks.
