Guest guest
I saw my internist yesterday to assess the pain in my right upper quadrant. She felt that the pain is weight loss surgery related and decided to give the surgeon out west a call for consulltation purposes. She also felt that I needed to have the upper endoscopy or EGD as well as the colonoscopy and that April 21 was way too far away. She called and arranged to have my tests moved up .. they are now scheduled for April 8. I am not looking forward to the tests, but do hope that they find the reason for the pain I have been and am currently experiencing. I asked her to fill out the paperwork that will allow me to take FMLA .. she doesnt want to fill this out until she has all my testing complete and answers. My big boss at work told me to not worry, he was gonna call her.. he is a personal friend, and get this matter handled. He told me that she didnt have a choice in the matter.. it was a federal law and she had to comply and send in the paperwork for me. Any way, the surgeon will be back in town on Monday, and I will hear from his office as well about the blood tests that he wants to run.. the tests for hepatitis a,b , c , epstein barr titers and cytomegalovirus.. The reason we are waiting until Monday .. to be sure that he doesnt want other tests before they draw my blood.. The nurse said she would prefer to have to stick me once , not more than once.. At any rate, I am still taking a lot of narcotic pain meds to control the pain.. so sleeping a great deal. I hope I willl be able to post answers soon as to the cause of my pain. I suspect she wanted to wait for test results so she could actually make an informed decision about your condition, how debilitating it may or may not be, and what the best treatment plan will be. I know this seems like a pain in the butt for you, but as an employer, I wish to god we had more doctors who actually gave a hoot as opposed to just signing whatever someone placed in fron of them with respect to FMLA. Guest guest
Dear , What a time you have had in dealing with physical challenges and pain! I remember when you had the last bout of surgery that you took time to write me a long encouraging email during a difficult time for me. Thank you! If I could, I would take all this away from you, but I can't. I can only offer you whatever strength is in my support and prayer.
