greetings!

i'm 2 weeks post-op from having hardware removed on a lower jaw

advancement. my lower lip and chin are still somewhat numb and i

don't yet have full movement of lip. i, too, feel like it looks

strange when i speak. it's dificult to keep my mouth shut, since

the inside is still swollen.

the worst part for me is that i am only now beginning to be able to

swallow after 4 months! i've been fed intravenously with Total

Parental Nutrition all this time. because of my neuromuscular

disease, this is much more complicated. good news today... looks

like i'm getting the iv out!

let me know if anyone can speak to the numbness or swallowing. keep

me in your prayers... i need to eat!

blessings, ellyn
