Excelle tn questions! Can't wait for the responses (I'm 6 weeks out,

and can't even imaging eating an apple ever again at the moment...)

I don't know about you guys, but I was told not to bite into apples

as long as I had the hardware in my mouth. Cut up bits could be

chewed with the molars, but as for taking a chunk out of a nice whole

apple -- no go.

I waited about a year before I got brave enough to take on things

like raw carrots and broccoli. I could have done it sooner, I think,

but I was timid about it.

I was honestly afraid my front teeth might fall out if I bit into an

apple (they do get a bit loose during treatment and seemed more so

post-op). Nowadays, no problem. It was probably the thing I was most

timid about.

8 weeks is nothing, really, in recovery for upper/lower. Give it more

time. It really does take time, there's no shortcuts. Follow your

ortho/surgeon's advice for exercises.
