Guest guest
I am grateful for the positive responses that I have received about my decision to do ahead with the surgery? I wish all of you well with your procedures as well. I know we can all get through this and this site is such a great resourse. Over the last 2 years I have met with 6 different orthodontist, 5 maxillofacial surgeons and one dentist. The Funny thing about all of them were the differing opinions of all of them. Its difficult when you want something and you have so many varying opinions on the same subject. In the end I guess I just had to do what I thought was better for me and I think the surgery is my best bet. Riskier (yes) financial strain (yes) but overall appearance , function and confidence level improvement won out. Thanks I think in the end we all need to remember why we started this all in the first place. Obviously there was something we really wanted and initially when we were told how to get it it sounded great. Well, Years later things change, but to me not the main motivation for wanting it in the first place. So to me I would not be happy if I settled for anything else. And isn't that the most important thing being happy. besides I have had 6 teeth pulled and have worn braces for over 2 years now, I am not one to throw in the towel. I am just going to go for it. P.S I have been dreaming about my surgery for the past 2 nights, Each time I was awaiting surgery and was receiving anestesia but it just made me real dizzy. Then my OS would try giving it to me in different ways but it wouldn't work. Then All of a suddan my OS and another OS began to operate on me and was telling me everything they were doing, but I couldn't feel it. It was like I was watching the whole operation on television as they were doing it. CRAZY! Anyone else have these kind of dreams. I wonder if they mean anything??
