Guest guest
I dunno what you're having done. If you are going to have segmentation or expansion of your upper jaw, the docs may need the extra space to be able to move your bones. How to do it? Cut the archwires. Or have them out to begin with. That may not be what's going on in your mouth - ask your surgeon, if it worries you! My surgical wires were stronger stainless steel, more square, more rigid and braced my teeth strongly, because I was having work on the jaws, rather than the teeth. Your situation may be different. My ortho segmented those wires at the first appointment, and started using elastics directly on the brackets -- which I didn't like, but which got the job accomplished. > > Hi All: > > At my ortho appointment today the OD took more molds of my teeth and > stated that at my next appointment he would be taking the archwires > out.
