Guest guest
I also had a long face. My chin was very long and narrow actually. Not only that, but it sorta slanted back. But anyways, I'm about 4 weeks out and though it's not as dramatic of a change as I was expecting, it definitely looks better. It makes my whole profile look more in balance. So now I have a more round face instead of a long narrow face. I also used to hate the way I looked from the side...and now it's definitely better. The only setback is that insurance usually doesn't cover a genio since it's considered a " cosmetic procedure " and not a medical necessity. Mine cost 2500 dollars...but I think it was money well spent if it gives me more self confidence and makes me feel better about my appearance. Hope this helps! Guest guest
Hi, I had my underbite corrected and chin reduction done 2 years ago. The suttle draw back of my lower jaw and chin reduction had a large impact on my appearance. I am very happy with my new bite. Take care and Good Luck, Randy > Thinking of having reduction genioplasty to correct a large > chin/long face. Has anyone here had it and if so how was it? Thanks! Guest guest
Inaara, That cost, the $2500, was just the procedure alone. That doesn't include hospital stay, surgeons fees, OR fees, etc. They really get ya on those fees... Tom > > Thinking of having reduction genioplasty to correct a large > > chin/long face.
