WOW it totally amazes me I truly was getting my appeal stuff ready was very discouraged, depressed wondering how I was going to find the strength to fight the insurance CO when mustering enough strength to show up for " normal " life functions seemed HUGE. The surgery scheduler called and asked if I had received the good news I hadn't and I was in shock I think. she said you truly did not expect this I really didn't. The last time I heard from her she had asked if I would be responsible for the payment of surgery cause it looked like my insurance CO would not pre approve and it was not a covered expense. So yes I was totally surprised as to the approval. I had to share this with the group in hopes to encourage those of you waiting on approval. I have bcbs aware through the teamsters and the exclusions and limitations part of my book is thicker then the coverage. Matter of fact they even state in there no treatment loss or expense for obesity. I originally was not even going to try for it because of those words.
