" No man is a prophet in his own land. " Naw, they just tend to <groan>. My wife, having been raised in Europe, is slightly American-humor challenged, and the kids are grown and out of the house. So, my joking is normally with colleagues over lunch. That is fun. And, my great fear about the DS has not materialized, because I can still go to lunch with my bud's; it's just that I eat a bit less of everything that I could eat before. --Steve --

Guest guest
Hi Fay, This may surprise you to hear, but I'm having the exact problem at work. And guess what.... I'm with you. I want to keep my job, so I've got to learn to just keep to myself. Imagine a teacher without a sense of humor. I think I'm gonna die of a soon-to-come heart attack now. Times are rough, we have to do what we have to do, and try to get serious . . . and whatever you do, don't go drinking with anyone from work!
