Thanks, Judie. I will probably retire from my day job next year. I

was thinking of getting a gig writing anon-line Obesity/WLS Support

column called " Dear Flabby. " (I am only half-joking.)

Whaddya think about that? (Of course, i'd need help from Nick and M.)

I think its a great idea!! Of course and Nick can do a really good job

helping you write your lines.

Naw, they just tend to <groan>. My wife, having been raised in

Europe, is slightly American-humor challenged, and the kids are grown

and out of the house. So, my joking is normally with colleagues over

lunch. That is fun. And, my great fear about the DS has not

materialized, because I can still go to lunch with my bud's; it's

just that I eat a bit less of everything that I could eat before.

You and my husband would have a great time with the jokes....too bad you

live on the wrong coast (in my opinion LOL)

I find the same to be true having lunch with my buds too.....I eat all the

foods I love only less of them! And to think pre opt we were afraid of

having to give those up!

Hi Fay,

This may surprise you to hear, but I'm having the exact problem at work. And

guess what.... I'm with you. I want to keep my job, so I've got to learn to

just keep to myself. Imagine a teacher without a sense of humor. I think

I'm gonna die of a soon-to-come heart attack now. Times are rough, we have

to do what we have to do, and try to get serious . . . and whatever you do,

don't go drinking with anyone from work!

That, momma, is why I stopped socializing. Always got myself in trouble. I

don't drink either.
