Guest guest
Hi everyone, I had a few questions that I was wondering if anyone could answer. I apologize if these have already been addressed elsewhere. First of all, my ortho. says that I have asymmetry with my jaw, meaning my lower jaw is shifted to the left a few millimeters. How much does this surgery usually cost? How long does it take to get back to work? Does insurance cover this and if so, how did you get them to cover it? I have Blue Cross/Blue Shield and have had to fight with them about a broken arm I had last year, (They won't pay my hospital visit, even though my primary physician approved it!!) So, thanks to them, it has become a black mark on my credit report. I told the nurses in the office that my insurance " completely sucks and will not pay for hardly anything " but have been assured that a lot of people say that and end up being covered anyway. Any information you could give me would be much appreciated. I have been so self conscious about my smile since I was a kid. My parents never got me the ortho treatment I needed way back when, and now as an adult I am suffering because of it I have horrible TMJ and I will be devastated if I can't go through with this surgery I need so badly. Thanks,
