Guest guest
You will have to cut it, just like I'm going to. Your belly will be reduced but still your skin will hang. Just be sure to visit your dermatologist when you beging to develop rashes. Have the doctor put it in his notes and when you loose all your weight and are stabled, the insurance will pay your claim as long as everything is noted and your rashes don't go away. > I am sceduled to have surgery April 2nd as you all know, I am very nervous > about being put under anesthesia. Guest guest
Hi , It really depends on the insurance company and I know here in California the insurance companies are doing their darndest to avoid paying for anying. From what I've heard though, insurance companies sometimes pay for cosmetic surgery if the excess skin is causing problems. I know of several women at the wls support meetings I go to that had tummy tucks paid for because they were getting painful rashes from the excess skin. You might also want to go to obesityhelp.com to look up stuff on the plastic surgery because they have a way you can search for drs and such in your area. Good luck and keep us posted! Guest guest
Yes but, you will not be doing the pastic surgery to look beautyful this plastic surgery will be a reconstruction. and medically necessary. I found out that I had developed hernias and my condition was panniculus. Anyway, stick to reconstruction due to massive weight loss. My PCP told me that they call it hernias but that is fat bulging out.. Something like that. NOTE: Did reply yesterday because went to sleep. I'm rushing now to go to work. Have a great day. Will check tonight response. > Well, MI medicaid is paying for my surgery and as far as I know they don't > pay for dematologists. Guest guest
Try to do abdominal exercises. You are going to have to do alot of walking anyway. Incorporate that in your exercise routing after the doc tells you you are free and clear to do abs. You may want to check Dr. Ted lockwood site in the web. He was the pioneer in lowere body lift and explains why the flabby skin and what is facia. > Okay so what do I do to try to lessen the flabby skin before plastic > surgery??
