Hi Gang!

I have missed this group so much, but with everything that was going

on at my house I had to take a break.

Just to catch you up, I was laid off. I decided to spend the summer

home with the kids and collect unemployment. Because I spent 2 years

working for a non-profit, I was unable to collect, so I started

interviewing. As I was being hired for a job (literally) my hubby

was being let go. Also ineligible for unemployment as he was an

independent contractor (although he didn't know that - very confusing

expecting a W-4 and receiving a 1099 - especially since his boss

figured his pay minus taxes). As many of you know, DH is a

chiropractor so we are opening our own business again. His severence

agreement said he could contact patients and promised pay through the

end of March. We have not received his pay, but we did get a cease

and desist order telling us to stop contacting patients - so now we

have a lawyer and they have a lawyer...

As for the weight loss side of things - I gave up my local support

group. It has gotten too big and people are not benefitting. I have

run it for three years. They are hoping to carry on, but their first

meeting had only 6 attendees (including the two ladies running it).

We shall see. A small group of us have formed a grad group, by

invitation only. People we totally trust and can say anything to.

It has been very nice.

I have had to give up my gym membership (trying to conserve $$$) and

have not exercised since I started my new job. Was hoping to walk in

the evenings, but the weather here (burbs of Philly) has been so

awful that I haven't done that either. Very, very frustrating. I

hope to do some mall walking Saturday and Sunday morning, and then

hopefully work in a a tape one or two mornings a week.

I am glad to be back reading all of your knowledgable posts.
