Guest guest
We are going to do a " Protein Only Club " for 3 days. Most of us have gotten way off track with the carbs and eating lately and are suffering some pounds gained, not to mention the mental torture that comes from being beaten up by that dam carb monster. So we are going to make a group effort to kick his butt........starting Monday we are going to do protein and water only......for 3 days or whatever you can manage........... P. Guest guest
Is it OK to mention prayer? Love Ya'! Bobbie... Manchester, WA OK....well, I was going to post something about this tomorrow, but seeing that it was mentioned I'll go ahead and give it a shot now. I have been " fasting " shall we say for the last year or so. Sometimes for spiritual reasons......sometimes just to kick a carb monsters butt What I wanted to share with you all is that I find it much more beneficial if I have specific goals or plans set when I enter a time of fasting. Protein drinks or no protein drinks this is still going to be a time of fasting " food " and all those thoughts, desires and everything else that is caught up in the eating process.....For those of you that are maybe new to this whole idea I was going to suggest to decide on something that you are going to do during what would be your normal eating time. Personally I like to sit back and reflect on how thankful I am for WLS, the second chance that I have been given......I visualize how happy my joints, and heart are to be rid of 80 lbs.......I think about how I don't ever want to take it this surgery for granted......how proud I am of myself that by fasting and clearing my body of garbage I am renewing that commitment to myself.......the list goes on and on. I feel like a million bucks when I am done with a day or two of fasting/proteining.............I am hoping the same for all of you!!! P.S the list is getting REALLY long of those of us that will be participating.....and I still have 136 messages to read P. Re: Re: Protein Daze >
