Guest guest
Sent you a message directly to you mailbox. I did a huge research and by far, I think the RNY is the must reliable. Guest guest
Just want to echo the previous reply. This was an backup option for me if the RNY could not be performed due to mass. Luckily, all went well and I got the RNY w/chole (gall bladder removal). The DSBPD surgery mentioned I understand has some fairly significant side effects (constant gas, bloating, diahrea, etc...) I opted for the gall bladder removal at the same time, there was no way that I wanted to have the gall bladder remain with the known complications post RNY. 32 days post open RNY -50lbs! -Ray > > Hi everyone, > > > > I'm new to this site, and to the bypass. > > I have a lapband, which has failed to lose me much weight(20kgs), > due > > to reflux. So, I am now investigating my bypass options. > > Having only done a little homework to date, at this early stage, I > am > > leaning towards the Duodenal Switch-Bilio Pancreatic Diversion > > procedure, based on diminished complication rates. Guest guest
My PCP told me about a woman who had this procedure done and said she had the most foul smelling gas you could ever imagine and it was frequent. She was nauseus and miserable. That's all I know about it but it makes me glad I had the RNY! 11/18/03 284/249 preop/196/?
