Hi All,

My name is Debbi, and I'm new to the group. My son, Philip, who will

be 17 yrs old in June, had the bypass surgery last Monday 2/23. He

was in Lenox Hill Hospital (we live on Long Island) and his surgeon

is the same doctor who operated on Al Roker. He is 6'1 " tall and was

318 lbs the morning of his surgery. He is having a very difficult

time with the abdominal pain and is getting depressed over not

feeling well already (even though I remind him it's not even a week

yet). He misses

eating a bit, but even more so he misses drinking a big glass

of " anything " . I showed him the group, and he looked around the site

but hasn't joined in. Anyone care to share their " post op " pains and

sufferings to help my son deal with the enormity of it all?

My love and support go out to all.

Thanks, Debbi
