I have a question for you and any other super losers who might care to respond.

Did you obtain any individualized follow-up care after your surgery?

***************************

Carol,

Dr Fisher has what I consider to be a very comprehensive program. But it's

his program and his way! And if you knew Doc you'd appreciate that :o)

We do see a nutritionist in the hospital but personally I didn't find that

of much use.

However, Doc was always available by phone and even called several times at

home to check on me. Because of my wound complications I saw him about once a

week for 6 weeks. We have 5 live support groups each month plus two for the

lapband folks. Dr Fisher or Dr Jim attend the groups too. So one or the other

is available for group questions or private questions before or after group.

Doc also has an online group with live chat every Monday night. And again, he's

usually there then too!

I am amazed at the caring and diligence of this man. If I get witchy and

panicky at 2am and dash off an email to him, I will have a response by 6am!

There have been times that I've had medical problems (actually an absessed tooth

that led to cellulitus) and he chased me to the ER! He asks for a 5 year

commitment from us and he gives the same. I just hope he doesn't boot me out at

my 5 year anniversary!!
