This sounds good to me, so count me in. It would be interesting for all

of us to 'check in'

on Thursday with our losses, and then have a

'grand total' posted at the end. Joannie

I agree. That's why I'm aiming to get through just 1 day. Right

now, 3 days seems impossible for me, so it's 1 day at a time for me.

someone with bigger numbers, watch out ego and depression. I do hope

we limit our posts to feelings and good health reports.

I do exactly the same thing. I get on the scale nearly every morning. If

I'm up a couple of pounds, that determines what I will do that day. I go

straight to my protein drinks and water and vites. If I'm down, I eat a bit

more that day. It's just a tool...I don't obsess about it. I use those

numbers as a guide. So far, so good, I'm maintaining my weight just fine.

Wow, your post really drives home how each of us are so differant.

I get on the scale every single day, PERIOD. I want to know what

the number is. The number doesn't drive my emotion or if I have a

good or bad day, but it is important to me to know where I stand. I

also toy with the same 5 pounds BUT I want to know when that 5

pounds becomes 6 or 7.

I got up to 255 pounds by ignoring the scale, never stepping on it.

I felt a freedom to be me, unbothered by the tight jeans or

increasing numbers, the scale was not going to rule my life. I

loved myself regardless of how high the number went.

Now I see my weight as a recalcitrant child. It needs to be

watched, closely monitored, lest it get out of control again. Now I

get on the scale daily because I love myself.
