Best wishes to all who are trying to get back on track. I ate carbs 1 1/2

days out but still feel very good about myself. Mt carb intake is down and I

feel good. Isn't that what counts? Anyone out there who feels bad about not

completing the course, cut it out!!!!.

Hi all,

I was going to do this all protein shakes and water with everyone for three

days.. but after I became sick and had to go on some powerful antibiotics,

decided it wasnt a good idea.. The pharmacist told me I needed to eat some

food with the antibiotic.. I am glad to hear that everyone is doing so well

though.. I have really cut back on the carbs though.. like having steamed

veggies with broiled chicken, etc.

Hi all,

I was going to do this all protein shakes and water with everyone for three

days.. but after I became sick and had to go on some powerful antibiotics,

decided it wasnt a good idea.. The pharmacist told me I needed to eat some

food with the antibiotic.. I am glad to hear that everyone is doing so well

though.. I have really cut back on the carbs though.. like having steamed

veggies with broiled chicken, etc.

Fay, I for one feel bad...I happened to speak with my surgeon yesterday,

opened my mouth and mentioned the carbs fast...protein only. He said stop it

now, don't do it you need the carbs-- just eat smaller meals and exercise

more. Now, I'm not an exercise hound so that is out. As for the smaller

meals I can do that and I've thought of one portion of carbs a day after I do

the protein first routine.

now, don't do it you need the carbs-- just eat smaller meals and exercise

more. Now, I'm not an exercise hound so that is out. As for the smaller

meals I can do that and I've thought of one portion of carbs a day after I do

Well I slept lke a baby last night. I did have 6-7 pepChips when I got home

from school. Otherwise I had 6 shakes and a ton of water! Need to find

'THE' room where ever I am!

I am proud of all of us who did our best for the day!

Had one shake already and 1 cup-o-coffee. Going out to plant more color

before the rain comes. Thanks to everyone for the support . I am not craving

carbs like I usually do. Cleaning the pipes! hahaha That is a good

thing. Good luck today folks. We are good people!

Oh...BTW at school last night one of the students asked me if I was losing

weight! hahaha

I felt like the guy in the Viagara commercial ! LOL!

Neci, I'm sure he's speaking of good carbs, fruits & veggies. As for

eating smaller meals, hopefully, that will be another benefit of

the " fast " ...shrinking our stomachs a little. My volume capacity was

getting a bit greater than I wanted or needed.

I wish I liked veggies a little more, I'm bad about that, but fruits,

especially melon, has gotten me away from eatings sweets more often

than I can say. I know many don't believe in eating a lot of fruit,

but I always have cut-up melon in the fridge all summer for something

to grab when the nightime munchies happen.

Maybe next time, and I'm sure there will be a next time, we can do

a " white carbs " purge....not so drastic.

I agree with you guys.

us have good sense to know our own bodies. They have been with us all of our

lives! If we start feeling poorly we can change something...eat or drink

something.

My surgeon, who also had the surgery, had us on all protein until we lost 75%

of our excess weight. Three days is nothing. Everyone forgets we were meat

My surgeon, who also had the surgery, had us on all protein until we lost 75%

of our excess weight. Three days is nothing. Everyone forgets we were meat

Neci, if you would check your protien drink you will discover that it has

carbs in it. So technically it is no added carbs. Just my humble

opinion, of course.

Neci, if you would check your protien drink you will discover that it has

carbs in it. So technically it is no added carbs. Just my humble

fish.

The veggies have always been my substitute for sweets. Only I have been

almost three years later I still find it a vicious cycle.

I think " moderation of any food group " is key.

Today, I did veggies and chicken and all the water I can hold. One whey

shake and will have a small one before I turn in.

My surgeon, I'm sure is just concerned about my health, but I don't see how

three days could harm me any.

The veggies have always been my substitute for sweets. Only I have been

cautioned on too many fruits also.

Gosh -- I thought the food management would be easier after the surgery, but
