Guest guest
Hello All! Well I couldn't stay on just the protein drink yesterday because I spent the whole day at St ph's Hospital in Tacoma, Washington. My dad had gallbladder surgery, and I was there the better part of the day. I did stay on protein, except for a little applesauce and two crackers when I got home yesterday. I did drink lots of water. Today I am on track with just the protein drink, water and coffee. The coffee is only a morning thing. I am drinking my second glass of Proscore 100 chocolate for today. I feel good and hope to make it one hour at a time, Praise God!! I am thinking about all of you and sending you Joy and Strength!!! More later! Bobbie.... Guest guest
Sounds like we are all finding our own unique ways to " re-tool " our eating habits. That's exciting! I did pretty well yesterday also. This is a *very* busy week for us and so I have had to plan very carefully. I had a lunch meeting; drank protein on the way and had a salad during the lunch meeting. We grilled fish last night (we hardly turn on the oven at home between April and September!) and a had a couple of bites. I did have a bit of fruit while preparing a fuit salad for the family -- it just looked SOOOOOOO good! It's definitely true that my cravings change while following and almost-protein-only eating plan! I made it to the gym in between meeting yesterday and that was GREAT. Lots of energy. I appreciate all of us supporting one another in our various strategies. hugs, Ann

Guest guest
Bobbie, I remember hearing some where (probably an OA meeting) that this journey is more about progress not perfection. After all, if we were all perfect, we would never have been MO. If we were perfect, there would be no addictions. If we were perfect, we would practice moderation in all aspects of our lives. We also would not need a support group and how boring would that be. At least it was a slice of toast. Prior to surgery, I was eating at least 6 slices of bread just for dinner. Guest guest
> Careful - my surgeon told me NO CELERY EVER AGAIN! Much too fibrous! My surgeon never said we couldn't have celery, but in my case he should have -- I got a " string " caught once for a couple of hours and thought I would die. I have to cut my celery into bite sized pieces, 'cause my teeth just aren't up to the work of breaking down the stringy parts. ~~ Lyn
