I still drink from glasses, bottles, cans...just not alcohol. I

still eat...just not refined carbs. I can't think of anything I do

like cigarettes. I DO drink diet colas now and then...some caffiene

there. Judging by the number of private emails I have received

agreeing with and/or supporting my viewpoint, people are afraid to

let their thoughts be known here. Flaming? NAAAWWW??? Corrine

Kate,

I commend you for posting privately. Daily, I see many posts which I'm just

amazed aren't private since they are sometimes very personal, critical or of

just absolutely no relevance or interest to the whole " weight loss surgery "

group.

Thanks,

do with being afraid, and everything to do with being polite, germaine, and

thoughtful. But for everyone who is too " afraid " to post publicly - y'all

can always write to me privately too :)

There are absolutely no rules about emailing people privately. If they

don't want private email, it is between the sender and the receiver and has

nothing to do with this board.

Again, there are no list rules against emailing people privately. How could

a list possibly govern private emails???? When you have your email address

in a public forum, you can expect private emails. There is no way in the

world a list can moderate it's members behavior off the list.

I really think this is a personal thing. Most of the time I

don't mind personal emails. There are several people that we email back

and forth that I have met on these lists. However, I have gotten emails

from some people that I have NO IDEA who they are and they seem to have

all of this personal information about me. If I don't know who they are,

the first thing I do is ask. I don't even bother to answer their

questions until I know. I often will then answer their question after

finding out who they are and/or refer them back to the list. It just

kind of depends. Do what feels right to you. If it is a problem for

the other person, they will let you know.
