There are people out there who might think that somehow when

you've " had work done " that it isn't the " real you " . I could not

disagree more. Through two separate orthodontic endeavors,

mandibular advancement and two (not just one) but two

genioplasties, I went from having a 30mm or more discrepancy

between my upper lip and chin, to now having an absolutely

perfect profile. I had to suffer through all that treatment and

surgery including a chin implant that didn't work out and had to

be removed. When you have gone through all that sort of thing to

have better function and hopefully better looks.... you absolutely

deserve any and all " benefits " that go along with it. I look at it this

way..... the " work " you have had done simply brought out the " real

you " that was there all along, you just didn't get a fair shake on

how your jaw/chin/teeth all developed.

I understand the point your making ie...

However, it almost seems like you're feeling guilty for cheating

genetics...

don't feel guilty - feel fortunate!
