Guest guest
My DH and I were out to dinner tonight and I noticed something that made me say, " Hmmmm " . For some time after I had my WLS the wait staff at restaurants would make me nuts asking over and over again if the food was acceptable because I could not eat even half of the portions that they serve in most restaurants. I still can't eat half of the food served but....most of the time the waitperson will ask if everything is okay (like they always do with everyone) and that's the end of it until the end of the meal and they ask if I would like a container. Tonight the waitress came over and asked if I would like a container and I replied, Oh, yes. " Yes, she said, I thought so. But that was all. And that made me think, no longer is the staff concerned about the little food that I eat. Why was that, I pondered. Do you suppose that before when I was M.O. and then just plain obese that they *expected* me to eat all my food but now perhaps I am small enough that it does not surprise them I don't finish my portion? How odd! That's the only explaination that I can think of and frankly, I like it! Maybe I look " normal " to other people and maybe it's normal to not eat all the food in front of you. Just something that made me scratch my head and say, Hmmmm so thought that I would share with the only people that might understand.
