Anyone do an Out Of Town surgery?

Hello all.

I am considering going out of town (from Chicago to Dallas) for my

surgeon because I can not find a surgeon in Chicago that seems to

have adequate experience with jaw surgery (and sleep apnea).

For those of you that travelled out of your home state to do the

surgery:

Did you utilize an orthodontist in your home town? I live in Chicago

and believe it would be challenging to go to Dallas to visit the

orthondist for the necessary appointments.

Or did the surgeon require you to use his/her local orthodontist?

I would appreciate any/all input from anybody that has had the jaw

surgery out of town.
