Guest guest
Greetings OSSG Family! I don't post here as much as I used to. Just too busy with life. But isn't that a GOOD thing? Anyway, I am doing well. I gained a few pounds back - normal for someone 3 1/2 years post op. My lowest post op weight was 208 (I started at 530) and 2 weeks ago, I was 230. Today I weighed myself after getting back on a good track, and lost 6 lbs. Hey, I feel like Twiggy by comparison, so a few lbs gain is not a problem. In fact, I expected to gain more and planned for that (based on normal post op successes) so I am very happy with where I am. Plus, the numbers really don't matter to me. Living and health are what matters. But the main reason I am emailing is that my husband Charlie had open RNY 3 weeks ago. He did great, and went for his first post op visit today. He got his G-tube out (YEAH!!!) and was stepped up to pureed foods. And the best news..he lost 41 lbs since his WLS less than 3 weeks ago! That with what he lost pre op brings his total loss to 76 lbs. I am SO proud of him! (He started pre op at 430 and the day of surgery he was 395 and now he is 354). So it is all in the family now. I joke that the cat has a higher food bill than we do now. =o) I hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend!
