Guest guest
Everyone, I found this stuff at my local health food store. They have a web site, but there is no way to find a place to buy it locally, like a retailer search. Anyway, back to this stuff. I bought Homemade Vanilla and Cinnamon flavors. They are 100 cal per 1/2 cup serving. 3g sugar, 6 g carbs (which these will vary based on flavor.) I have tried them both, and grant you I haven't had real ice cream in over a year, but this stuff is the closest I have had to actual ice cream!! Part of the carb count is 3 g glycerine. So, there are only 3 g of usable carbs, (if you are follwing Atkins.) Just wanted to tell everyone about this stuff. If you were an ice cream nut before surgery, I would caution you if you find it to make sure to buy the small container. This stuff is so good it could be dangerous!! Guest guest
That stuff is good isn't it? I don't know if it's milk free though, so I only had a taste of my husband's. The cinnamon is wonderful. If you're craving ice cream, have you tried putting your protein shake into an ice cream, maker? YUM!! We have two machines - one that's normal sized and makes a batch big enough for all three kids with some left over and another that makes one serving (about 1 to 1 1/2 cups) at a time. The little one is something that we got in the toy department actually, it's marketed like Easy Bake ovens, but it's perfect for making a frozen protein shake. Want a REALLY delicious treat that's actually GOOD for you? Take your favorite vanilla protein shake and make it into ice cream, then mix in crumbled up Murray's sugar free Oreos (they're not really Oreos, but the same kind of cookie - can't remember what they're called though). Cookies & Cream that's healthy!! ------------------------------------------------ Terry Mayers 5DollarHosting.com® http://www.5dollarhosting.com (877)-838-HOST / .... because it shouldn't cost a fortune to make a fortune! ® LeCarb Ice Cream Everyone, I found this stuff at my local health food store.
