Guest guest
How many millimeters did they move yours? did they widen it too? my mouth functions fine and you cant tell that my teeth have a class 3 relationship because my bottom teeth lean in and fit inside my top ones. they don't know how many millimeters until they lean the teeth out again but there saying 2 millimeters minimum and no more than 5. oh and the surgeons also saying he might need a bone graft from my hip.that freaks me out. The reason i went back to the orthodontist after the first time i had braces is because i wanted an " out smile " but is it worth it for when its a minor case? Or am I getting into a whole set of problems all for the sake of vanity?? p.s i'm not a dude

Guest guest
sorry for the dude thing. i had my entire maxilla advanced 6mm and held in place with titanium bone plates. I spent 1 night in the hospital. I saw the doc the next morning and I had two of the 6 bands removed. Saw the doc a week later and he removed two more bands. I see the doc tomorrow and the last of the bands will hopefully come out. It isn't about vanity it is about a gross skeletal deformity. Bones are important and if they are misshapen or in the wrong spot they will cause lots of problems down the road. I had this problem for years and I can already say that the surgery improved my hearing by reducing pressure on my jaw joint. I also don't get the joint clicking that I used to experience. I didn't have mine widened but that has become a fairly common proceedure > > > How many millimeters did they move yours? did they widen it too? > my mouth functions fine and you cant tell that my teeth have a class > 3 relationship because my bottom teeth lean in and fit inside my top > ones. they don't know how many millimeters until they lean the teeth > out again but there saying 2 millimeters minimum and no more than 5. > > oh and the surgeons also saying he might need a bone graft from my > hip.that freaks me out.
