Guest guest
Hi, I am about to have braces put on and I'm at a struggle at what to do. Has anyone used the Damon Braces (self-ligating)? I was thinking the clear ceramic braces on top, but then the ortho threw the new Damon braces in as an option too. I'm not sure what to do. Does anyone have any suggestions. I'm 29 years old. The Damon Braces are smaller than traditional braces, but I don't know anything about braces since I never had them as a child. Thanks for any help!! Guest guest
HI- I'm not totally sure...I had metal as a kid and now...but these are much smaller and don;t have any around the tooth bands on them at all. I was told that these do better during surgery-as to staying on and not breaking or chipping (you should not ingest that)...and honestly the clear were larger and thicker, so why have my lips stick out further for a fussy reason, I prefer to say hay they stick out some bec of my braces see them easily---but I am a proud 32 yr old woman who is NOT embarrased by my smiles' in-between stages, just proud that I am doing good and looking good ----- for me! If they share a note agreeing about the safety or if profile is a concern for you...I would go metal. after all who doesnt' have braces these days?! Health then vanity. Health lasts longer Good luck! Guest guest
Hi, I am 24 and I have the ceramic braces on top. I got them last year about this time and last school year in April I had a student ask if I had braces (I teach high school). So it took him 4 months to notice them after seeing me everyday for an hour. I also had surgery 2 weeks ago and they stayed put just fine. Hope this helps! --- I n orthognathicsurgerysupport , amygtcheer <no_reply@y...> wrote: > > Hi, > > I am about to have braces put on and I'm at a struggle at what to > do. Guest guest
I have the clear braces on top too! since the first week of may. i love them!! mine haven't stained at all, i am careful not to eat alot of red stuff. i am an avid coffee drinker though, so i make sure to always drink coffee (or anything that could potentially cause a stain) out of a straw. it certainly works! i say go for the clear (ceramic) gina > > > > Hi, > > > > I am about to have braces put on and I'm at a struggle at what to > > do.
