Guest guest
- I am the cook in the family and have made lots of recipes using SugarLike which comes in both granulated sugar as well as brown sugar. I get this from www.vitalady.com. It's wonderful tasting. I use it in my cookies, brownies, and pies and nobody can tell the difference. I hope this helps you. Tina T. While I know sugar is a bad, five letter word, it's easy enough to substitute regular sugar and even the brown sugar. However, is anyone familiar with a powdered sugar substitute? Some of the recipes can be fairly healthful when the sugar is substituted. I'm not looking to have dessert everday, just once in awhile and for special occasions. Guest guest
And I can vouch for the YUMMY brownies that Tina makes!! She brought some over when I was staying with Vitalady after my TT/revision and boy were they good. I've used SugarLike for about 2 years now in my own baking and it's wonderful, no one ever guesses that it's sugar free unless I tell them. ------------------------------------------------ Terry Mayers 5DollarHosting.comR http://www.5dollarhosting.com (877)-838-HOST / .... because it shouldn't cost a fortune to make a fortune! Guest guest
> What do you do, shake a wet hand over it first to form balls? LOL! Ya know, anyone who didn't know we were talking about brown sugar lumps might wonder about that sentence.... But what I do is put it on my oatmeal or flaxmeal, and the moisture in the hot cereal lumps it right up, usually. Or if I'm really fiending, I lick a spoon and stick it in the Brown SugarLike -- makes a lump that almost doesn't come off the spoon, so you get a small amount of exercise from the effort of getting that spoon shiny clean. One of my favorite places for the brown SugarLike is on top of half an acorn squash, baked or microwaved, with a little cinnamon. I eat it right out of the shell and don't even share. Then I go chain myself to the bathroom (SugarLike and winter squashes have the same effect on me, so it's a double-whammy! LOL!) ~~ Lyn G, BrownSugarLike perv... Guest guest
Squash is not food. But Don is under the delusion that it is, so I've cooked 'em for him that way. Mini pumpkins are the best. Acorns are a close second. But if I have to, I will eat frozen squash. Or pumpkin right out of the can (yeah, I'm a squash perv too). To really make you cringe, I once decided that if I was going to eat pumpkin that way, I should at least get some protein out of it, so I blended in a scoop of Sci Fit coconut and poured DaVinci pancake syrup over the whole mess.
