Guest guest
Two weeks of vacation and eating in restaurants, or having the kids home preparing all those extra meals of kid's food, not being able to to the gym and ugh!!! Somehow my clothes feel a little tighter. Imagine that! So, not wanting to get on the pity pot, I dragged myself back to the gym today and got on the scale. Back up to 233, about 3 1/2 pounds gain. Not sooo bad, but it took me a month to lose that 3 1/2 pounds! Well, now I'm motivated. I smell revenge. I got on the bike and pedaled my tail off for an hour. Did you know your butt can sweat? Nothing like compulsive behavior....or is it motivation? Hmmm, don't really know. Maybe maintaining motivated for a long, long term, as we who have to lose a great deal of weight have to, needs an edge of compulsion about it. I also booked a hotel at Tahoe and am going to finally fulfill my promise to my kids to go skiing for the first time in my life this Thursday. (at age 45. Ha! What an idiot I am. Guess losing weight is bringing back a second childhood) So, for those of you who overdid it during the holidays, don't get down on yourselves or get depressed about it. Just climb back on the horse and yell " Charge! " Vicki A.
