Joannie,

Have you ever considered asking your doctor for a prescription for

fine 1cc insulin syringes and injectable B12? A years worth of B12

(cobalamine) if you do 1cc 1 time per month is less than $10.00. It

is super easy to give yourself B12 shots, a quick lesson from the

back office nurse and you will be an expert at giving yourself

injections. (I learned how when I was 16 and I had a friend that was

diabetic and then I worked in my Dad's office as a back office nurse

and gave injections of all kinds) . . . Also, those fine syringes are

painless even if you are sloppy or new at it! I had to talk my PCP

into the B12 Rx as she really thought it was OK to be on the low side

of normal with sublingual (under the tongue) B12 . . .BUT, when I

told her that injectable B12 was cheaper than sublingual, reimbursed

by my insurance, more predicatable in its absorption and then it gave

me high B12 labs, she was very willing to write and then renew the Rx.

As for your weight . . . My personal advise is to stay off the scale.

I lost 100% of my excess weight without monitoring the scale and by

listening to my body. YOU CAN trust your body. Always eat (have a

protein shake, bar or food) when you are really physically hungry.

Eat slow and enjoy every bite (put down the burger, sandwich, fork,

spoon, shake or bar between " bites " .) Eat until you aren't hungry

anymore. Obese people eat to the full feeling and slowly but surely

it takes more and more food to get that full feeling. Slim people

avoid that full feeling, they hate it! If you feel full, even with a

smaller stomach, you ate too much. Better to eat a little bit many

times a day than to try and have 3 meals a day or whatever! If you

mess up and overeat, do better next time you are hungry rather than

beat yourself up about it. If beating ourselves up made us slimmer

we'd all look anorexic! Don't bother to eat if you're not physically

hungry no matter what time it is or what the situation is. If it is a

social situation, push the food around on the plate and then leave it

of ask for a doggie bag! We are the decendants of survivors of

famines. We have super efficient metabolisms which is why obesity is

getting more prevalent. The more our society restricts and diets the

heavire and more obese it gets! Our metabolisms will slow down to

almost zero if we don't honor physical hunger. Metablisms will also

speed up when hunger is always honored. The once a day big meal is

almost a garantee that a person will be overweight! Look forward to

feeling energized after eating. If you feel tired, you either ate

too much or the wrong food. When we eat the right food, at the right

time, in the right quantity . . .We naturally feel healthy and

wonderful!
