OK, after my last two posts confessing some of the serious mistakes

I've made in the past, let me tell you what happened today. Now only

you people will appreciate this.

Today at the gym a standard beach towel went all the way around me,

top to bottom, for the very first time! I could actually walk around

in it without it opening or falling off!! Yeah!!! No more holding

the towel up to my front with my butt hanging out the back, squeezing

it to make it look smaller only to realize squeezing it made all the

dimples bigger.

So I walked around the dressing room with my towel on. So did

everyone else, but for them it was normal. However, I felt like I

had a little secret going on, kind of like a guy who is wearing

ladies underwear under his business suit.

It may be a little thing, but they are big to me and they keep me

motivated. I have to remember to celebrate these small successes and

not just complain about my setbacks.

I tried my black ski bib on today. I bought it a month ago and it

fit then. But I'm going skiing Friday for the first time, and for

some strange, sick reason I suddenly got paranoid and was afraid it

wouldn't fit, even though I weigh a couple of pounds less now. Isn't

that weird? Like someone can take it away from me and I'll wake up

fat one day??? Freaky.

By the way, those one piece black suits are killer. Makes me look

much smaller than I am and gives me a nice hourglass with no tummy.

Wish I could wear it all around town. Hmm...that might seem kind of

strange since I live near the beach in California!!

Smiles,

Vicki A.

Yeah!!! I know the towel thing!!! I bought some towels at Mervyn's years ago

(like 15!!! Yeah, I still have them!!) and they didn't fit around me. I

started going to Weight Watcher's and got to 170 (the LAST TIME I've seen that

number with me on a scale!)and ya know, the towels fit around me better now than

they did then!! Go figure! I weigh about 201 now, and back then I was a bike

messenger (yeah, a bike messenger in Weight Watchers; again, go figure!).

Strange how the body kind of re-adjusts. Back then, I was wearing a 13. Now, I

am in a 14. Hunh.

Congratulations, Vicki! That is the best feeling isn't it? It is these

little things that help us remember just how far we have come.
