Guest guest
>> And I feel like people are thinking of me as a fat chick no matter what and there is NOTHING I can do about it (I am just not going to get a lot smaller) and it makes me insane. How I can identify with that! The worst, absolute worst, is when I am eating a meal with people who don't know me well. They comment on my not eating sugar or having a small meal, and I will say I had a gastric bypass and cannot eat X amount or cannot have sugar, and they will say " Did it work? " Ok, I still weigh 250 pounds. But since they didn't know me when I was practically immobile at 415, it's hard for them to imagine how much it worked! And then there is every support group meeting where people smaller than me haven't even had their surgeries yet, and I'm wondering why they're bothering with such a drastic measure! Yeah, it worked. Yeah, I'm still fat. Not AS fat, but still fat in the eyes of other people and my favorite jeans. It's frustrating. And scary. ~~ Lyn
