Guest guest
Peeps, I'm not sure who wrote the first letter of this string, but over the years I've held steadfast to my opinion on this matter. I've heard many times over from women who feel slighted that the men paying attention to her now would have never done so before surgery. Remember this: You had the surgery because you didn't like what you saw in the mirror. You were unhappy with yourself and wanted to look better and be healthier. If you didn't like yourself then why would you expect someone else to like it. Enjoy the attention you are getting and be proud that you have achieved the look you were going for! You like how you look now and so do they. That's it, I've spoken. :-) Judy in the Windy City

Guest guest
I gotta agree with you Judy. I don't " blame " men that didn't find me attractive at 250 lb. To be totally honest with you even as an MO person I wouldn't have been " physically " attracted to a MO male. Yes, it's hurtful, but for me it is the truth anyway. Looks certainly are not EVERYTHING when you are picking out a mate.......but I believe they certainly play a part. I was attracted to my hubby because he was a wonderful, caring, Christian man.....but also because he was sexy as all heck (to me anyway).... I do also know this......someone who you do not consider to be all that " hot " looking can certainly soften in your eyes once you get to know their wonderful personality.........one time in college a couple of friends and I met a group of guys.....after a few weeks we commented that too bad the one guy was so " hard " to look at cause he was the nicest among them........my best friend ended up marrying him! My hubby dated all " Barbies " but ended up marrying me (a MO person.) And yes, certain people would question him about " why " he married a fat girl, and did my weight bother him? Anyway.....I think it probably all boils down to a matter of personal taste.......but I don't think that it makes you shallow or less of a person because you are not " physically " attracted to MO of the opposite sex..............just my .02. P. Would he have noticed me before? > Peeps, > > I'm not sure who wrote the first letter of this string, but over the years > I've held steadfast to my opinion on this matter.
