Can do almost anything I want to do. I do not have the energy of others, but never did. Off all meds except antidepressant. Depression is chemical had nothing to do w/obesity. > 8. Cons of your surgery? To tell you the truth, the only impact from my surgery is health, so I really don't have any cons. > 9. greatest joy Sitting on the floor changing my granddaughters diapers. And getting up without a thought. > 10. greatest challenge Carbs have always been a challenge for me. > 11. Your age at time of surgery? 59 > 12. Any advice to others? (about 5 lines if you can manage) Protein first, water, water, walk, walk. It is only a tool. Never forget that. Graduation is the hard part. > 13. Your surgery doc? if you care to say M. D. > 14. Your regimen of food and exercise? Protein first. Do not count calories. No white stuff. The only fruit I can eat is melon. Love salads. Weakness is popcorn, Could If I let myself, I would eat it all day. No milk because Lactose intolerant. I do not miss bread and pasta and never had a sweet tooth. I have to eat every 2 1/2 to 3 hours or I have and sugar drop and get dizzy. > 15. Which of these adjuncts do you use? (hypnosis, prayer, affirmations, > journal keeping, therapy, OA, meddies, etc.) Meds and on-line support. > 16. What is your daily vitamin and mineral supplementation? Multiple twice a day.
