Guest guest
I did it! And I'm not even sore except where my butt hit a rock when I fell and surprisingly my neck muscles probably from clenching in fear! So now I am Scuba certified, rode a horsey up a narrow mountain path and skied. And I am still at 230 pounds! It's all relative. I feel so empowered. Not to mention proud that I am able to actually go out and do things with my kids instead of sitting them in front of the boob tube because I am too fat and lazy and unmotivated (and, face it, unable)to move. The world is our oyster. I think we wlsers have even a more heightened appreciation of life and how we can use it because we have seen what is was to be virtually handicapped and have been blessed with a way to come back from it. We are extremely lucky we do not have a permanent disability like Reeves, who has no chance to come back to the level we are at. Let us never take our newfound health for granted. So, what's next? My daughter wants to go sky diving. Ummm...I don't know about that. But I'll spend a few days and come up with a reward for myself for breaking the 200 pound mark (weight, not weight loss). It's all good. Smiles, Vicki A.
