Guest guest
Twice in the last few weeks, I got very tired very quickly while pitching batting practice for my softball team. Today started with the early morning trip to the gym after a protein shake. Normal lunches got me up to par for the day calorie wise. Then I ate a protein bar just before practice (to get my calories up to just under 1000, protein up to 85g). I am very good at getting my fluids in, so I was at 72 oz already this afternoon before downing another 24 oz during practice. This was all because last time I went to practice in this same situation, I was at only 650 calories and got VERY weak while pitching. I thought that if I upped the carbs for fuel and the calories, I would not have a repeat of the same thing. Well, this time, it was the same thing. After pitching for about 50 minutes, I suddenly got very weak. The only thing that I can compare it to is that it was like I feel in the muscle groups that I am working when I work them to exhaustion in the weight room, except that it was through my whole body. Has anybody else felt this? If so, is there something that I can do to have more energy for the times that I pitch? I am pitching on Friday, so I will not be working out that morning. It would really be a drag if I had to leave the game because of exhaustion. Any suggestions? God bless, Joe <><
