Guest guest
Hi , I attempted to view your photo file, and have been unable. Perhaps I am doing something wrong. The link takes me to a Kodak site, and request that I become a member?? Cathy albertiway wrote: Hi guys, I cannot bear to send you the ugly " take the photo just to prove a point " pictures, you know, no gussying up, etc (hee, hee), but here they are. I had to throw in a couple of my daughter for good measure since i talk about her so much. The one looking down at her party, you really have to look close, but i am assuming it is the way my chiropractor saw me as she looked down from above. Here is the clincher, i think i do see that i was off center to begin with but because i had such an incompetent lower jaw, it did not show up much. Please let me know what you think. this is really bothering me and i have written a letter to my surgeon and am sending him the photos on cd. i think i want to have the genio redone. My mom has a concern that i should leave it be as it may be worse next time. i don;t share her thought. Guest guest
Kate, I was off center pre-op as well, I never noticed until my OS told. It seems to be much more noticeable now than it was before the surgery, or it might be that I am fixated, but there is nothing I can do now, I am not going through that again to move 2-3 mm to the left. Me and my OS are probably the only one who notice. Guest guest
Hi, I was also off-center. My surgeon told me after the surgery that he moved my chin back and down, but on my right side, he moved it 1 mm more down than the other side. So probably if you look at my skull and bones, I am centered. However, because my nose/lip thing still looks a little off, my face still does not really look balanced. With me if I would want to correct something, it would have to be my nose I think (and I had asked my surgeon about it beforehand but he was reluctant to do it at that time, probably because the result of a rhino would depend very much on the final result of the SARPE which I was having then). I am not really considering a rhino at this moment though... Do follow up with your surgeon , it's hard when you have certain expectations and they are not met. If it's correctable and you are willing to go through surgery again, I say go for it! Guest guest
By the way , I think you look great! The off-center thing is probably much more noticable for yourself then for others. And I think the outcome of your surgery looks excellent. And what a cute baby you have! Guest guest
thank you for your kind words Nathalie. I think you are right that it is probably more evident to me than to others, but i thought the pictures kind of proved a point. Yes, i do think my baby is simply adorable!
